The Musicians Foundation (a non-profit 501(c)3 organization established in 2004) is dedicated to providing scholarships to talented, but financially challenged students at Musicians Institute (MI) in order to help them achieve their educational goals.
Musicians Institute provides high-quality professional training leading to careers in the contemporary music industry. Donations to the Musicians Foundation are fully tax-deductible and 100% of all funds received are applied directly to student scholarships.
Our Mission
The mission of the Musicians Foundation is to raise funds from private, community and institutional donors in support of the Musicians Institute (MI) Scholarship fund. To achieve this goal, the Foundation is focused on fostering relationships, building partnerships, and expanding public awareness of the benefits of music education.
Through relationships with alumni, industry leaders, government representatives and the community at large, we strive to inspire investment in education and achieve annual goals of renewable and sustainable funding. Through personal outreach and public advocacy, we seek to build awareness, create alliances and inspire action in support of music education.
Founded in 1977, Musicians Institute offers a variety of Bachelor Degree, Associate Degree and Certificate programs in the fields of contemporary music performance (Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboards, and Vocals), Audio Engineering, Independent Artist Development, Film and Television Production, Guitar Design, and Music Business.
Since it opened its doors, tens of thousands of students from around the world have attended MI and graduates are working in every area of the music industry. A few notable examples include members of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Weezer, Korn, and Nine Inch Nails, touring and recording musicians with Christina Aguilera, Pink, Michael Jackson, Rihanna, Stevie Wonder, and Elton John, recording artists Keb Mo, Jeff Buckley and Brooke White, and many, many more.
Each year, many students with equally outstanding potential face significant financial obstacles that threaten to prevent them from reaching their educational goals. The mission of The Musicians Foundation is to provide financial assistance to help these aspiring professionals commence their studies, or to continue and complete their studies within their chosen program at MI. 100% of your tax-deductible donations to the Musicians Foundation go toward offsetting the cost of tuition for students in need who show a genuine commitment to learning and to advancing their careers in the music industry.
